Energy And Environmental Law Club Plants 500 Trees At ABU Kongo Campus

The Energy and Environmental Law Club, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria has planted 500 trees under its EcoCare Campus Initiative 2026 — Greening Communities, Inspiring Action, Sustaining the Future.
Speaking during the planting at Kongo Campus, Gyellesu community, the Vice Chairman of the Club, Haruna Bashir said the initiative is all about protecting the environment.
He said this year, the Club has received seedlings of different types of trees which they all planted by the students of Ahmadu Bello University as part of its activities lined up for 2026 activities.
Bashir called on environmental stakeholders to join them and support their initiatives with seedlings during their campaign.
While advising fellow students to embrace tree planting, he urged that at least each student should plant one tree as their legacy even after their studies.
The vice chairman expressed appreciation to the students who participate actively during the planting exercise.
