We have completed all arrangements for 1337 Yobe pilgrims – Mai Aliyu

The Chairman of Yobe State Hajj Commission, Alhaji Mai Aliyu Usman Biriri, has confirmed that the commission has completed all its arrangements for the 2026 Hajj exercise.

Alhaji Mai Aliyu Usman disclosed this in an interview with our correspondent on how they have completed their arrangements, as instructed by the National Hajj Commission, NAHCON.

The President added that this year, they have also received 1,337 pilgrims who met all the requirements of the commission, which is currently the number of pilgrims in the state who, God willing, will go to the Holy Land of Saudi Arabia to perform the pilgrimage this year 2026 out of the 1960 seats allocated to the state.

He added that in the meantime, they will start administering vaccinations for all their pilgrims next week by the will of Almighty Allah.

According to him, they have since started conducting enlightening for the pilgrims as scheduled every year, this is done with the aim of educating them on the principles of how to perform the Hajj ritual from Nigeria to the Holy Land of Saudi Arabia and even leading to their return home.

The chairman therefore gave good news to all pilgrims that, like every year, this year too, the commission is fully prepared to handle their affairs.

The state government has assured them that it will continue to support them to carry out their religious duties successfully as usual every year.

He added that he is assuring the pilgrims that as soon as the National Hajj Commission notifies them of the dates for their journey to the Holy Land, they will not waste any time but will inform them on time.
