Kebbi House Of Assembly Speaker Dies

The Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Usman Zuru (Lifiddan Zuru) is dead. He died on Monday while receiving medical treatment at a hospital in Cairo, Egypt.

Our Correspondent gathered that the late Speaker was flown abroad shortly after Eid-el-Fitr celebrations to Egypt for medical treatment.

Until his death, late Mohammed Usman Zuru was representing Zuru constituency in the Kebbi State House of Assembly holding many positions until he became the Speaker.

Funeral arrangements would be officially announced by his family and the Kebbi State government in due course.

His death has left a vacuum unable to fill in both Kebbi State House Assembly and his constituency in Zuru Emirate.
