Hajj: Kebbi Last Flight Lands With 278 Pilgrims Saturday

The last flight conveying 278 Kebbi Pilgrims has landed in Birnin Kebbi from Saudi Arabia on Saturday evening after the conclusion of 2026 Hajj exercise.

Speaking with journalists at the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport Ambursa in Birnin Kebbi, Amirul-Hajji, Alhaji Jafar Ahmad Jega said this year’s exercise was conducted successfully in accordance with the state Pilgrims Welfare Agency’s schedule and Saudi authorities rules and regulations.

He said that all the committees set up by the agency have done well in discharging their responsibilities during the exercise.

The Amirul-Hajji further disclosed that all the pilgrims from the state were treated well, in terms of feeding, accommodation and all other activities concerning the welfare of pilgrims.

He commended Governor Nasir Idris for providing conducive environment and welfare services to both the agency and pilgrims.

Also speaking, the Executive Chairman of PWA, Faruku Aliyu Musa Enabo told journalists that the last flight consists of 278 pilgrims mainly from Maiyama Local Government, government officials and one from Dandi and Fakai Local Government.

He commended journalists for reporting activities of the exercise right from day-one to the conclusion.

The chairman also commended the efforts of various committees and sub-committees including the Hajji-guides for their unwavering efforts and dedication towards the successful conduct of the exercise.
