Group Applauds Ambassadorial Nomination Of Former Sports Minister, Ndanusa
The nomination of former minister of Sports, Engr. Sani Ndanusa, as non-career ambassador from Niger State has been applauded by his political group within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ndanusa was among the new ambassadorial-nominees announced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu last week.
In a statement in Minna yesterday on behalf of Sani Ndanusa Support Group (ESSG) signed by Engr. Abubakar Ndaman it described the appointment as a fitting recognition of service, loyalty, experience and political commitment.
He said, “Engr. Ndanusa comes to this responsibility with a distinguished record of public service. He served as general manager, permanent secretary, commissioner and, ultimately, minister of Sports at the federal level.
His leadership also extended beyond government to sports administration, where he served as President of the Nigeria Tennis Federation and vice-president of the Confederation of African Tennis, among other national and international responsibilities”.
Ndaman stated that this development has renewed confidence and reshaped their political calculations and strategic outlook towards the 2027 electoral season saying that the group received the appointment with profound satisfaction .
He stressed that the nominee’s political reach was further acknowledged at the national level when the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council appointed him Director of Contact and Mobilisation for the North-Central.
