Electricity consumers across Nigeria paid about N1.2 trillion for electricity consumed during the first six months of 2026.
Vanguard reported on Friday, September 4, 2026, that the figure was contained in data from the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).
The payment covers electricity supplied to consumers across the country between January and June 2026.
The electricity sector continues to play an important role in Nigeria’s economy, as households and businesses depend on regular power supply for their daily activities.
