The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, today inaugurated the 2026 National Convention Committee of the party.
A statement by Mamman Mohammad who is the DG Press and Media Affairs to Governor Mala Buni said, during the Inauguration of the 98-member committee, the chairman expressed confidence in the capacity of the members under the chairmanship of Rt. Hon. Kabiru Aminu Masari, with Gov. Mai Mala Buni as the secretary.
He said the party is expecting the best national convention ever organized in the history of the party.
“I am sure this committee will organize a very free, fair, transparent and widely accepted convention,” the chairman said.
In his remarks, the chairman of the committee Hon. Aminu Bello Masari said his work as the chairman is highly simplified considering the personalities appointed into the committee.
“I am happy to have His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Yobe state, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, the encyclopedia of political party administration as the Secretary of the committee.
“He combines the knowledge and experience of party administration and conflict resolution,” Masari said.
The committee is to organize convention for the election of officials of the National Working Committee.
