It was a day of tributes for 600 police officers from Akwa Ibom State Command who participated in the 2026 election duties in Osun State, for their exemplary conduct, professionalism, discipline, dedication, and unwavering commitment to duty.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Baba Azare at the event Wednesday, 19th August, 2026 at the state Police Headquarters in Ikot Akpanabia Uyo, presented certificates of commendation to the officers, in recognition of their outstanding performance and service during the election assignment in Osun State.
CP Azare, while presenting the certificates, described the officers’ conduct throughout the electoral assignment as a reflection of the professionalism, discipline, and commitment expected of personnel of the Nigeria Police Force.
He observed that their ability to discharge their responsibilities effectively, professionally, and in accordance with the law contributed significantly to the successful execution of their mandate.
The commissioner further appreciated the officers for representing Akwa Ibom State Police Command with dignity and distinction, urging them to sustain the same level of professionalism, discipline, impartiality, and respect for the rule of law in all future assignments.
He emphasized that the recognition was not only a reward for their individual efforts but also an encouragement to other officers to remain dedicated to duty and uphold the core values of the Nigeria Police Force at all times.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, CSP Soberekon Bamson expressed profound appreciation to the Commissioner of Police for the recognition and the certificates of commendation awarded to the officers.
CSP Bamson described the gesture as a great source of encouragement and motivation to the officers, noting that the recognition would further strengthen their resolve to continue serving with dedication, professionalism, discipline, and integrity.
He pledged, on behalf of the officers, their continued commitment to the effective discharge of their constitutional responsibilities, assuring the commissioner that they would continue to uphold the good image of the Nigeria Police Force in every assignment entrusted on them.
The Akwa Ibom State Police Command remains committed to recognising excellence, rewarding professionalism, and motivating its personnel to continually uphold the highest standards of discipline, integrity, and service to the nation.
