  1. That the aspiration of His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, GCON, former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as the candidate of the African Democratic Congress in the forthcoming 2027 general election, is hereby unanimously endorsed.
  2. That this unanimous decision to endorse Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is informed by the following cogent and verifiable reasons:
  3. Proven track record of public service*: His Excellency has demonstrated unwavering commitment to national development through decades of service in both the public and private sectors, with a clear record of competence and integrity.
  4. National political spread and acceptance*: He commands goodwill and support across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, making him the most unifying and electable candidate at this critical time.

The Yobe State chapter hereby makes this humble clarion call to all members of the ADC nationwide that the task before us is to defeat an incumbent who has demonstrated intolerance and the state capture of public institutions. An attested and competent candidate in the person of H.E. Atiku Abubakar is the solution, the statement added.
