Women Initiative for Sustainable Environment (WISE) in partnership with Energy and Environmental Law Club ABU, Zaria has engaged Women and Youths on Clean Cooking Entrepreneurship.
Speaking at the Ecocare Campus Initiative 2026 Clean-Up Campaign held in honour of Comrade Jerry Adams, former Executive Chairman, KADIRS held at Kongo Campus, ABU Zaria the Founder/Director of WISE Olanike Olugboji Daramola said, it is very important for people to know what climate change is all about.
According to her, environmental idea, culture and practices by empowering people especially women and youths to become environmental stewards, climate actors and peace builders.
Olugbojl Daramola added that leading the drive in sustainable cooking and lighting solutions and transforming communities through Eco friendly practices and access to renewable energy.
She said, putting women as vanguard of innovative waste recycling/upscaling and fostering a cleaner, greener future to our communities.
The Director pointed out that, approach to the issues of environmental sustainability is an integrated one as WISE engages in environmental projects and programmes in the hygiene, municipal waste management and tourism.
The EcoCare Campus Initiative 2026 Clean-Up Campaign, is a special honour to Comrade Jerry Adams, former Executive Chairman, KADIRS which members participated actively for campus and community clean-up, environmental awareness, and volunteer action.
