We’II Not Forget Your Contributions To Nation Building – Gov Idris Tells Fallen Heroes

Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris has said that present leaders will not forget the contributions of the ex-servicemen in the nation’s building during their service days.

The Governor stated this yesterday during the launching of the Emblem for 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day held at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi.

Governor Idris noted that the fallen heroes have done well in protecting the nation’s sovereignty while they were in active service, as such they would not be forgotten by the present leaders and those in the next generation.

“We are all beneciaries of the fallen heroes for the good work they have done towards keeping Nigeria safe and united,” Governor Idris said.

“And we are going to follow suit in giving our own contributions the development of people, our dear state and the country,” he added.

He launched the emblem for 50 million naira on behalf of the government and another 10 million as his personal donation.

The governor warned those who made pledges to the association of Legion in the state to redeem their promises within one week or face hook of the government.

Many government officials have made pledges to the nion ranging from 10 million naira, five million naira, two million naira and 500,000 naira among others.
