VP Shettima Consoles With Gov Idris Over Speaker’s Death

Vice President, Kashim Shattima has Condoled the people and government of Kebbi State over the death of Speaker, Mohammed Usman Zuru who died recently in Cairo, Egypt.

Speaking during a condolence visit on Tuesday at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi, Shettima said, “We are here in Kebbi State, on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to condole Your Excellency, Governor Nasir Idris over the recent death of late Speaker, Mohammed Usman Zuru which the Presidency received with shock and grief.”

Therefore, on behalf of President Tinubu, we condole with the people and government of Kebbi State over this
irreparable loss which left a vaccum unable to fill in both Kebbi State House of Assembly and the country,” Shettima added.

The VP also sympathised with Governor Idris over the recent attacks by suspected Lakurawa terrorists in Shanga and other parts of the state where some brave soldiers were killed and the destruction of facilities, and properties.

He acknowledged the efforts of Governor Idris in the areas of assisting the security agencies with logistics to enhance their activities in the state.

“Your Excellency, let me inform you that Mr. President appreciates your unprecedented and remarkable achievements recorded within three years of your administration in office in Kebbi State.”

Mr. President also described your 2nd term in office come 2027 as unshaken, considering these remarkable achievements of your administration in three years.”
