TRIBUTE: …And The Pain, The Sorrow Too Difficult To Bear!

By Patrick Titus
The reward for labour universally, is wage. This young man toiled hard for 24 years but never reaped. He went through infancy to school age. Started from Nursery School to Primary. Then Secondary to the University – Akwa Ibom State University where he studied Marketing and graduated in flying colour.
He was due for National Youth Service Corps programme this November but suddenly came the invisible, an unwelcome visitor, whose cold hand of death fell on him on August 27 at the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital.
As parents, we did all we could in terms of responding to doctor’s prescriptions and bills with a dispatch just to save his life but all to no avail.
This young man, NdienoAbasi Effiong Titus, our gold, our joy giver and a great mixer among his peers left us unannounced with unfulfilled dreams leaving behind thick lines of unimaginable pain, sorrow and loss that are too difficult for us to bear.
His remains will be interred tomorrow Saturday – October 10th, 2026 after a funeral service at Apostolic Primary School, Ifa Ikot Okpon, Etoi, Uyo at 10 am. It will be conducted by World Missionary Church, Uyo.
NdienoAbasi Daddy, Mummy’s love, may God take your soul. Comfort us because the tied is severed. The journey too is rough.
