Those Fighting The Muslims Over Hijab Are Ignorant

We have recorded two cases involving Muslim candidates sitting for the ongoing UTME who were compelled to remove their hijabs before being allowed to sit for the examination—one in Ibadan, Oyo State, and another today in Bwari, Abuja.

This is what I would like to say:

Those supporting the compulsion of the UTME or any Muslim candidate for an Examination or attending lesson to remove her Hijab are ignorant. In fact, they are victims of mental brainwashing, acting under the influence of deep-seated and blind hatred for Muslims.

Those saying it is for security reasons and to avoid examination malpractice are also wrong. Can you all say the same to Reverend Sisters who also attended Seminary or Bible schools?

Mark my word: if the candidate was not a Muslim but a Reverend Sister, no one would have dared compel her to remove the veil on her head.

Attached above are photos of Reverend Sisters—dedicated Christian women—whose heads are fully covered like Muslim girls using the Hijab. Why has there never been any recorded case in Nigeria of compelling a Reverend Sister to remove the veil on her head? Why is it always targeting Muslim girls?

Muslims are not at war with anyone. Why the misinformation? Why the harassment? Why cause trouble?

Has any Muslim girl ever forced a Christian girl to use the Hijab as Muslims do?

The way you respect your Reverend Sisters who use the veil to cover their heads and hair, kindly leave our Muslim girls alone.

Please, since you choose the Western culture that covers the actual teachings of the Bible, leave Muslim girls alone. It is mandatory for every Muslim girl, especially those from puberty and above, to use the Hijab to cover their heads and hair. Allow them.

If Mary, the mother of Jesus, can be seen veiled and fully dressed like Muslims, and your Reverend Sisters are also imitating this practice, then why not allow and leave Muslim girls alone?

Please, we are fed up with anti-Muslim campaigns, promotion of anti-Muslim narratives, abuses, unprovoked attacks, insulting our religion, harassment, victimisation, and name-calling.

Stop listening to lies and emotional manipulation from your pastors, who are tactically after your tithes, offerings, and seed sowing. They stage fake miracles of healing without visiting the nearest hospital, and stage fake raising of the dead, yet cannot raise their own deceased mother or father. They also cannot demonstrate such powers in the nearest hospital, always on the alter, when has the alter change from the platform for teaching the word of God encouraging love, forgiveness, respect, promoting peace and harmony to platform of staging fake miracle, spewing lies and hatred against others.

To our Christian brothers and sisters: let us all embrace love, understanding, and mutual respect. Nigeria is our shared home, and we are destined to live together as neighbours, friends, and fellow citizens. Rather than allowing differences in faith to divide us, let us focus on the values that unite us—peace, kindness, honesty, and compassion.

When we choose to see one another as human beings first, and treat each other with dignity regardless of religion, we create a society where everyone can live freely and peacefully. A harmonious coexistence is possible when we reject hatred and choose dialogue, tolerance, and respect.

Together, we can build a Nigeria where Christians and Muslims live side by side in peace, supporting one another and contributing to the progress of our nation.
