Sultan Donates N1.3b School Furnitures To Kebbi Govt

The Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, has donated school furnitures worth N1.3 billion naira to Kebbi State government as part of his Foundation’s commitment to assist educational sector in the state.

The presentation of the furnitures was done at Bulasa Wherehouse in Birnin Kebbi metropolis by the Emir of Argungu, Sama’ila Muhammed Mera on behalf of Sultan Sa’ad, to Governor Nasir Idris.

Emir Mera told the governor during the presentation that the donation of 3,785 pieces of furnitures was to complement the governor’s efforts in revitalising the education sector in Kebbi.

According to the emir, the furnitures were procured with the support of an indigene of the state based in Atlanta, USA, one Aminu Yaro alongside some international partners.

He commended the governor for approving N196 million for the freightage of the furnitures from abroad into Nigeria.

Receiving the items, Governor Nasir Idris commended the Sultan Foundation for the gesture, assuring that the furnitures would be judiciously shared to all schools across the state.
