The accusation of genocide against Muslims in Nigeria is masterminded and executed by the Christians themselves, Mujahid Asari Dokubo said while reacting to the accusation, saying: “If truly there is genocide against the Christians in Nigeria, the government must expose the perpetuators of the crime,” he emphasized.

“This is because anybody can be a killer, irrespective of tribe, religion and region.” He cited many instances in a piece he was quoted by our reporter saying: “Mr. John Alaku Akpavan, the man arrested in an attempt to bomb Radio House, Abuja was a Christian.
Lydia Joseph (the failed bomber of St. John Catholic Cathedral) in Bauchi State who attempted to bomb the church on 12th September, 2011 was a Christian.”

Other allegations he cited include “Augustine Effiong, an Akwa Ibom indigene, on April 29th 2012 was arrested in connection with BUK bomb attack. He was a Christian.

Emmanuel King, arrested in an attempt to bomb the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, camouflaged in Islamic attire on December 28, 2011. Emmanuel was a Christian.”

Alhaji Dokubo frowned at the lackasaidical approach meted by Christians in Nigeria to Muslims in the country. “Igbo traders that gunned down a dozens of fellow Igbo businessmen of the same Christian
faith inside the Christ Apostolic Church in Adamawa State on Friday, 6th January, 2012.

“Samson Mangai who was arrested in Plateau State attempting to bomb a church in November, 2011, was a Christian.

“Madam Ruth, who attempted to bomb the
ECWA Church, Kalaring Kaltingo, in Gombe State on 12th March, 2012 was a Christian.

“There was also a case of the arrest of about eight Christians in Bauchi in an attempt to blast the COCIN Church on Sunday, 26th February, 2012.

“Another case was of the Christian bomber lynched while escaping after blasting the COCIN Church of Jos on Sunday, 26th February, 2012.”

Islamic religion doesn’t encourage fanaticism, he said, adding other examples of one Mr. Alex Danladi, involved in COCIN HQ bombing who was lynched by worshipers. He was a church member disguised in military uniform in 2013.

Jonathan Gyanet, a Christian Police officer was arrested attempting to bomb ERCC Church in Akwanga Nasarawa State on 20th April, 2014, Dokubo recalled.

Birom Christian militias, he said further, killed a Muslim retired General, Idris Alkali and dumped his remains in a well, while his vehicle was found in a pond in a village called Duradu in Plateau State in 2018. Over 30 Christians were arrested as culprits from that village and till date no news of the aftermath.

On 2nd February, 2020, worshipers at Living Faith Church, Sabon Tasha, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State were, on a Sunday, thrown into fears after a man suspected to be a suicide bomber, gained access into the church’s auditorium carrying a device suspected to be an Improvised Explosive Device (IED). He was a Christian, and member of the church by name Nathaniel Samuel.”

“In 2022, more than 10 Yoruba Muslims travelling back home to Osun State from Bauchi, were massacred by Plateau Christian youths.

in 2025, 13 Muslims from Zaria going to Mangu Plateau State for a wedding ceremony were killed by Mangu youths. Both father and mother of the groom were victims.
