Revisiting The Rarara Honorary Degree Fiasco

With the benefit of hindsight, the scam with which Rarara was visited with, appeared to be a government set up on the ‘powerful’ Illiterate, so as to cut his growing wings, before he starts thinking that he is important in the country.

But immediately after the ceremony, the media (traditional and online) were full of the denial by the institution, of ever awarding an Honorary Doctorate Degree to the famous political singer, Rarara. The European-American University even said it did not have a branch in Nigeria to warrant holding a convocation in which Honorary Degrees were awarded.

Not surprising, giving the regime’s unenviable reputation of ’use and dump’ policy, and its notorious ‘settlement’ of many in the country. Rarara may not be the first person to be so set up in Nigeria, but the first to be with a great deal of fanfare by the high and mighty in the country.

Some influential and some notable Nigerians had immediately taken to the media (traditional and social) or called the singer directly, to congratulate him for the degree. The scam has left them running with their tail between their legs, for sure.

Soon after the event, I wrote an article on 21/9/2025, asserting that, “As is with most things about the present regime, there is a controversy about the genuineness of the conferment, as an alleged ‘disclaimer’ from the European-American University, Commonwealth of the Dominican Republic emerged saying that the ‘Convocation’, where Dauda Kahutu was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Degree ‘was Fake’.

“An illiterate in Islamic and Western scholarships to the core, the ‘gifted’ Hausa political singer knows next to nothing beside being an uneducated sycophant, who sings only for the rich and does ALL his ‘good deeds’ NOT for the sake of God but for the world to know that he is a ‘good man’ who ‘donates’ to the less-privileged.

“He once attempted to interpret some Holy Quranic verses beamed by the klieg lights but the effort ended disastrously for him, because he turned what was said by God ‘upside down’. He was forced to stop the charade due to the negative response (backlash) he received from his watchers.

“At another time, Dr. Rarara, the ‘foreign affairs expert’, called on Nigerians to embrace France with open arms, saying that doing so is in Nigeria’s interest because it is the best and quickest way to development and that failing in that direction would spell doom for the country.

“‘Professor’ or ‘Shiekh’ Rarara, as he is referred to by his equally illiterate supporters, ought to know that France did and still does NOT want a united Nigeria. During the Nigerian 30-month long civil war, the European country sided actively with the rebels and is today an unapologetic enemy of Islam, as well as a staunch ally, supporter and friend of any nation that opposes and oppresses muslims.”

The media (traditional and online) were full of denial of awarding an Honorary Doctorate Degree to the famous political singer, Rarara. The European-American University even said it did not have a branch in Nigeria to warrant holding a convocation in which Honorary Degrees were awarded.

Such a scam is not beyond this regime to secretly arrange. The psychopanthic and lying regime is precisely delighted at visiting more loathful things at the ordinary citizens and even at the seemingly unordinary, but illiterate ones like Rarara.

Tinubu’s is a regime that rules by outright lying and propaganda. For instance, the President told the world that Nigeria has met its 2025 budget target and would therefore take no more loans. But two days later, the federal government announced that it would borrow $1.7 billion.

And in a faraway Brazil, President Tinubu proudly claimed that “The reforms I have embarked upon since I took over in Nigeria have been very impactful. I can beat my chest for that. It was initially painful, but today the result is blossoming. It’s getting clearer to the people. We have more money for the economy… no more corruption.”

A lie spoken by a psychophant, who would rather accumulate wealth than use the it for the good of all Nigerian citizens. True enough, the London-based Chatham House found the lie too much to keep quiet without putting the records straight.

The institution said in its mid-year report that, “Corruption continues to be a defining feature of Nigeria’s governance, public administration and political life, hindering its full potential and global standing. At its core, corruption diverts public resources away from vital sectors such as education, healthcare and infrastructure, fuelling poverty and inequality. More than half of all Nigerians – approximately 54 per cent – live in poverty”.

Again, the President recently promised to make electricity constantly available to every Nigerian, whereas a few days earlier, the sycophantic and overwhelmingly underperforming Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu declared that, “In the two years and few months since Tinubu assumed the mantle of leadership in the country, there has NEVER been power failure in Nigeria”.

It is the height of blatant lie and sycophancy, to claim that there has never been power failure during the present inept regime. Populated with federal and state governments serving and retired ‘who-is-who’, the area I live in suffers a 53-week consecutive ‘failure of line’, all of which lasts for around two days to two weeks without the grid.

The regime had also claimed to have constructed Zaria to Hunķuyi – 156-kilometre road, spending billions in the process. But the actual distance between Zaria and Hunķuyi is only 36 kilometres.

And the Nigerian government, not long ago entered into a defence pact with the Zionist regime of the pogromist and muslim-loathing Benjamin Netanyahu, when virtually the entire world bar the US, are condemning the Israeli Prime Minister and his Zionist regime. And hardly have the new ‘protectors’ came to Nigeria, when banditry assumed a more ferocious dimension, killing and abducting northern muslims like never before.

Even if the Germans who lived at the time of Joseph Goebbels, Adolf Hitler’s Minister of Propaganda, were to be resurrected, they would not swallow the several lies told by the present regime of President Tinubu, which only lives on propaganda.

The Rarara Honorary Doctorate Degree fiasco is therefore, of no surprise that such a ‘small’ thing could happen to an illiterate person, who hardly knows his right hand from his left.

May God never ever give another chance to the present, or another set of insincere rulers to be Nigeria’s leaders.
