Plateau United Offer Condolences Over Passing Of Galadima

The Chairman, HRH Dr. Al-Hassan Yakmut, the management, technical crew, players, teeming supporters and the entire staff of Plateau United Football Club of Jos, have expressed deep sorrow over the news of the passing of former Chairman of the Nigeria Football Association (NFA), Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima, who passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026, in Kano.
In a condolence message signed by HRH Dr. Yakmut, who is the District Head of Chanso Community in Plateau State, he said that Alhaji Galadima was not only a respected football administrator, but a true pillar of Nigerian football whose decades of service helped shape the growth, structure, and progress of the game in Nigeria.
“His remarkable contributions to football administration at both state and national levels remain a lasting legacy that will never be forgotten.”
The Chairman of Plateau United FC, HRH Dr. Al-Hassan Yakmut, who worked closely under Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima for seven years, described him as a leader of rare wisdom, discipline, and integrity — one whose mentorship and leadership left a deep personal and professional impact. Their relationship, built on mutual respect and sheer commitment to football development, stands as a testament to the late Galadima’s character and influence.
“On behalf of Plateau United Football Club, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the Kano State Sports Commission, and the Kano State Football Association, as well as the entire people of Kano State, over this painful and irreparable loss.
