The Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Yobe State Council, has expressed condolences to Governor Mai Mala Buni and the people of the state over the deadly boat accident in Ngarbi, Nguru Local Government Area of the state.
In a statement jointly signed by the NUJ Chairman, Comrade Rajab Mohammed Ismael, and Secretary, Alhassan Sule Mamudo the union described the incident as a “big loss” and it stands in solidarity with the families affected by the tragedy that happened.
“We mourn the loss of lives and stand in solidarity with the families affected by this sorrowful event,” the statement pointed out.
The council, therefore, prayed for comfort and strength for the bereaved families and urged them to draw support from one another during the painful period.
