NAWOJ Constitutes 9-Member Committee For 2026 Delegates Confab

A 9-member committee has been constituted by the leadership of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) ahead of its upcoming 2026 Triennial Delegates Conference.
The committee includes Comrade Rajab Mohammed as Chairman, Comrade Nsibiet John, Comrade Maureen Sheyin From Zone A, Comrade Abisola Ariwodola (Zone B), Comrade Stephanie Ude (Zone C), Comrade Grace Akwe Ogbayi (Zone D), Comrade Rashida Yusuf (Zone E), Comrade Grace Orumieyefa (Zone F) and Comrade Farida Abubakar.
They were constituted during the association’s National Executive Council meeting (NEC) in Birnin Kebbi, capital of Kebbi State.
The committee was counselled by the National Chairperson of the Association, Hajiya Aisha Ibrahim to discharge their responsibilities with fairness, impartiality and a high sense of professionalism.
According to her, the committee was formally inaugurated by the NUJ National President, Comrade Alhassan Yahaya Abdullahi.
The chairperson also stressed the importance of adhering strictly to the constitution of NUJ and other relevant regulations guiding the association during the forthcoming national election scheduled to hold in November, 2026.
She added that, the committee is saddled with the responsibility of coordinating the necessary arrangements and other processes towards the conduct of a successful 2026 NAWOJ Delegates Conference.
