The Special Adviser to Kebbi State Governor for Special Duties, Shafi’u Abubakar Shattiman Zauro, has condemned in totality, the petition filed by the Former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami against Governor Nasir Idris to the nation’s security. saying.
He made the condemnation during an interactive session with journalists in his office at the Mix Grill Restaurant in Birnin Kebbi.
Shafi’u Zauro criticised the former Attorney-General for making frivolous allegations to the effect that the incumbent Kebbi State Government was sponsoring terrorism.
He said “most of us who know Malami are not surprised by his antics. He once took his master, Atiku Abubakar to Court that he’s not a Nigerian”.
He added that his antecedents were also manifest when he took former member, House of Representatives, Wambam Koko, now his close associate, to the ICPC and the EFCC when Wambai, at that time, indicated interest in contesting for governorship of the state.
“Malami is not a lover of Kebbi; he has not shown benevolence to the people nor contributed to the security and infrastructural development of the state, including his alma mata, Junju primary school.
“Kebbi is known for absolute peace and tranquility, he’s not happy about the successes recorded by incumbent Governor Nasir Idris on the development of the state”.
According to him, Comrade Idris has brought investment into Kebbi, especially in the mining sector, which is making Malami envious because he did not do it when he was a Minister.
He noted that at a time Governor Nasir Idris is focused on the development of Kebbi, Malami’s only contribution is chaos and Ill-will.
“Consequently, it’s a decision of the people of our dear state to take legal action against Malami for defamation, false assertion, character assassination and troubleshooting,” Zauro said.
“We do not subscribe to violence, what we desire is the sustenance of peace and tranquility in Kebbi, a land of abundance and surplus food, devoid of rancour,” Shafi’u emphasised.
