Katsina Govt Seeks To Partner Kano On Culture, Tourism

Katsina State Government has sent a delegation to Kano State Ministry of Culture and Tourism to study and share meaningful knowledge on how to establish its newly created Culture and Reorientation Agency.
The Special Adviser to Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Isah Muhammad Musa dropped the hint during the delegation’s visit to the Kano State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hajiya Aisha Lawan Saji Rano in her office.
According to him, visiting Kano became necessary due to its historical and cultural heritage dating back hundreds of years.
“This visit is not only symbolic but also a strategy to share and obtain valuable opportunity to strengthen institutional relationship as well as to foster collaboration in the area of cultural reorientation and development,” he explained.
The Special Adviser described Kano as a rich historical heritage that is vibrant in tradition and innovation, and in cultural preservation and promotion in the state as well as the country at large.
While expressing gratitude to Governor Malam Umaru Dikko Radda for his commitment and concerns on the historical heritage, culture and reorientation, he pledged to do his best to ensure the establishment of a vibrant agency in the state.

In her remarks, Kano State Commissioner of Culture and Tourism, Hajiya Aisha Lawan Saji Rano highlighted some of the achievements recorded under Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in tourism and cultural heritage.
She said that the present administration had supported the ministry in various areas aimed at not only reviving the cultural heritage but also to create more innovations in order to achieve the desired objectives.
The commissioner pointed out that the state government is ready and willing to support any state seeking for partnership in cultural heritage and tourism towards the development of the state and the country.
Hajia Aisha Lawan Saji Rano commended the delegation for choosing Kano as a reference point.
She used the occasion to commend the state government for its contributions and support, assuring that all hands are on deck to ensure the state sustained its impressive outing in tourism and cultural heritage.
