According to Symfoni News on Monday, August 10, 2026, A political exchange linked to Symfoni News has drawn attention as Kenneth Okonkwo addressed broader national issues while referencing debates around Bola Tinubu and electoral politics.

In the discussion, Okonkwo shifted focus toward national elections, emphasizing the difference between federal contests and localized political structures.

‘I’m talking about national election, in 2025, Wike was a powerful minister in Education, he supported an incumbent president Goodluck Jonathan and he lost in 2019.’

He continued by highlighting another political episode involving primary elections in Rivers State, describing it as further evidence of electoral outcomes.

‘He supported another candidate in the presidential primary in Rivers State, Port-Harcourt and he lost again.’

Okonkwo stressed that his arguments were centered on nationwide contests rather than internal party or state-level considerations.

‘I’m taking about national election and you’re dragging me into state Caucus election.’

He then pointed to Chibuike Amaechi as a figure with the capacity to influence outcomes on a broader scale.

‘That’s what I’m saying, Chibuike Amaechi has what it takes to deliver Atiku as president and you’re still referring me to backup state politics and try to compare with local champions.’

Further remarks suggested internal communication concerns within political structures, adding another layer to the discussion.

‘His chief of Staff said he doesn’t like communicating with his subordinate.’

Okonkwo maintained his position as a national spokesperson, urging that discussions remain focused on federal-level dynamics.

‘Ask me things about that national level, as I am here as the spokesperson for the national politician.’

He concluded by reinforcing his distinction between national influence and localized political framing.

‘I’m taking about national election, you’re talking about state caucus election. Amaechi is a national figure, not a state jingoist’.
