Gwandu Emirate Turbans Ex-DG NIPSS, Prof. Bande District Head Of Besse

The Emir of Gwandu in Kebbi State, Alhaji Muhammad Iiyasu Bashar has turbaned the former Director General of the National Institute For Policy And Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru Jos, Prof. Tijjani Muhammad Bande as District Head of Besse and the (Baraden Besse) under Koko/Besse Local Government Area of the state.
Speaking during the turbaning ceremony held weekend at the Abdullahi Fodio Palace in Birnin Kebbi, Iiyasu Bashar said the Emirate turbaned the former NIPSS DG as the new District Head of Besse due to his track records of contributions to Nigeria and the international communities.
According to the emir, the appointment of Prof. Bande in the traditional institutions will bring to his new traditional responsibilities, an exceptional record of service spanning academia, strategic policy, public administration and international diplomacy.
He urged the new appointee to use his vast experiences in service in promoting peace, unity among the people of Besse and Gwandu Emirate.
Speaking with journalists shortly, Prof. Tijjani Muhammad Bande thanked Governor Nasir Idris and the Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Muhammad Iiyasu Bashar for the appointment.
He assured them to do everything possible to ensure people in Besse District live in peace and become united.
