Alhaji Muhammad Tukur Babangida

The Executive Chairman of Kano State Sports Commission, Alhaji Muhammad Tukur Babangida is expected to lead other top government officials on Monday 20th September, 2026 to inspect facilities ahead of the 45th annual Federal Public Service Games scheduled to hold between October 6th and 16th, 2026 in Kano.

Over 8,000 participants from 80 federal agencies across the states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja are expected to storm the ancient city of Kano for the championships.

Kano state government had already secured the hosting right as part of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s commitment and determination to sustaining the cordial relationship between workers and the government as well as improving their health through sports.

Speaking on the preparations so far, Alhaji Muhammad Tukur Babangida said that inspecting the facilities was part of his commission’s commitment to ensuring the success and hitch-free games.

While appreciating Governor Yusuf’s commitment and unflinching support to sports development, he assured that all hands must be on deck by the stakeholders aimed at continuous projection of the good image of the Pyramids City during the championships.

”We are closely working with the office of the state’s Head of Service in order to actualise the set objectives,” Babangida concluded.
