Former Minister of Aviation and Ambassador-designate, Femi Fani Kayode has reacted to the US military strikes on terrorists’ hideouts in Sokoto state by the US military, in collaboration with Nigeria’s authority.
President Donald Trump, through his social media handles, confirmed that the United States of America’s military conducted some precision strikes on terrórists’ hideouts in Jabo village of Tambuwal local government in Sokoto state in late hours of December 25th, 2025.
Hence, Femi Fani Kayode who had incessantly opposed and criticized Trump’s foreign policies especially the American president’s unwavering support for the Israeli’s government military onslaught on Gaza, and who also has opposed US military intervention in Nigeria, seemingly endorsed the air strikes on terrorists in Sokoto state.
Femi Fani Kayode through his X (Twitter) handle reposted a tweet by US African Command about the military action against terrorists in Nigeria by US in collaboration with the Nigerian government.
The tweet reads: At the direction of the President of the United States and the Secretary of War, and in coordination with Nigerian authorities, U.S. Africa Command conducted strikes against ISIS terrorists in Nigeria on Dec. 25, 2025, in Sokoto State”
Femi Fani Kayode had vehemently rebuffed Trump’s threats of invading Nigeria to rout Jihadists targeting Christian communities and destroying churches.
He had in the past labeled president Donald Trump an “anarchist, deranged, sociopathic and tyrant”, declaring that Nigerians will stand up and resist any military invasion of the country by Donald Trump.
One of Femi Fani Kayode past tweet criticizing Trump reads: “Imagine a deranged & sociopathic meglomaniac & tyrant, a recalcitrant and unrepentant schoolyard and dockside bully and a cheap and shameless godless scumbag like @realDonaldTrump threatening our country with violence, military action and invasion. What a nerve!”
Also, in another tweet, Femi Fani Kayode accused Trump of being a mass-mûrderer enabler: ” Trump, a fascist & an associate of the globally recognized Hitler of the 21st century, @netanyahu, has refused to call the Israeli Zionist Nazis and the UAE-backed RSF butchers of Darfur, Sudan mass murderers and genocidal maniacs but he is calling our people the “kîllers of Christians” and is desperately trying to label our nation with the genócide”.
Hence, many are surprise over Femi Fani Kayode’s sudden change of stance and endorsement of US military intervention in Nigeria which he had vehemently resisted, describing it as a violation of Nigeria’s sovereignty.
