The Federal Polytechnic Damaturu has completed the construction of its Career Development Centre building, executed by Muab Frontline Services Ltd.
A statement by Muhammad Nura Nguru who is the head of Information and Protocol of the Fed Poly, Damaturu said that speaking during the handover ceremony, the Director of Procurement, Abdullahi Musa, disclosed that the project was funded under the TETFund 2024 Intervention Programme.
Handing over the completed facility, the representative of Muab Frontline Services Ltd, Builder Garba Adamu Jalo, expressed appreciation to the Polytechnic for awarding the contract.
He said the company was committed to delivering quality work and was pleased to have successfully completed the project to the required standard.
Receiving the project on behalf of the Rector, Dr. Ibrahim Bello, the Deputy Rector (Administration), Dr. Lawan Cheri, described the Career Development Centre as a strategic facility that will enhance the institution’s capacity to provide students with a conducive environment for career guidance and professional development.
He commended the contractor for the successful execution of the project, urgung the management of the Centre to ensure its immediate occupation and optimal utilisation for the benefit of students.
In her vote of thanks, the Director of the Career Development Centre, Dr. Zainab Ibrahim Ciroma, applauded the Rector for his commitment and dedication towards the successful completion of the project.
She assured the Polytechnic management that the centre would be properly utilised to achieve its intended objectives.
The handover ceremony was attended by the Director of Projects, Engr. Hassan Bikar; the Director of Audit, Yunusa Abdullahi; the Director of Physical Planning, Tpl. Adamu Musa Sakwa; the Director of Works, Engr. Abba Adam, as well as other staff of the Polytechnic.
