Darren Anthony Robinson, 56, founder and principal operator of QYU Holdings, was added to the FBI’s Most Wanted Fraudsters list on August 13, 2026. The fraudster list is separate from the FBI’s traditional Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.

The FBI is offering up to $150,000 for information leading to Robinson’s arrest and conviction.

Robinson is accused of operating an international Ponzi-style investment scheme through QYU Holdings and related entities, which represented themselves as professional investment firms trading in the foreign exchange (FOREX) market.

Federal authorities estimate QYU raised approximately $100 million from investors, including investors in the United States, Canada, Panama and other countries.

Bank records from 2015–2022 allegedly showed more than $70 million in hundreds of investor wire deposits into QYU accounts, with transfer descriptions referencing investments, FOREX and currency trading.

Federal investigators identified dozens of investors in southeast Michigan who collectively appear to have invested tens of millions of dollars. Authorities said hundreds of people were victimized overall, including retirees, families saving for college and business owners.

The investigation began in 2022, after the FBI Detroit Field Office received the initial tip concerning the alleged scheme. The investment activity under investigation reportedly dates from approximately 2010 through 2023.

QYU marketing materials allegedly advertised exceptionally strong investment performance, including a claim that a $100,000 investment in 2014 would have exceeded $2 million by 2021, with no net losing month during that period.

Investigators allege that, contrary to QYU’s representations, the vast majority of investor money was not used for foreign-currency trading. Bank activity reportedly showed no apparent significant flow of money into or out of trading accounts.

Authorities allege that new investor deposits were the primary source of payments to earlier investors, while additional funds were used for QYU operating expenses, compensation for employees/client managers, Robinson and his associates, and Robinson’s personal lifestyle.

During a voluntary FBI interview on June 20, 2023, Robinson allegedly admitted that representations made to QYU investors were false, that he had created fictitious FOREX trading data, and that QYU provided investors with materially false account statements.

A federal indictment charged Robinson with 11 counts of wire fraud and one count of money laundering. A federal arrest warrant was issued in the Eastern District of Michigan on Jan. 11, 2024.

Robinson had been released on bond and was reportedly on approved travel before his disappearance. Authorities say he removed/cut off his GPS tether and fled in November 2023 and has remained a fugitive.

The FBI says Robinson has traveled extensively domestically and internationally and has connections to South Florida, the Atlanta area, Southern California, Panama, the United Arab Emirates and Colombia; authorities also believe he has spent time elsewhere in Central and South America, Europe and Asia.

Robinson was born in Brooklyn, New York.

If convicted, Robinson faces up to 20 years in prison on each wire-fraud count and up to 10 years for money laundering.

The FBI is seeking both information about Robinson’s whereabouts and reports from additional potential QYU victims. Authorities have advised the public not to attempt to apprehend him.
