Bauchi Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Opens 2027 Hajj Fare Collection

The Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced that the collection of Hajj fares for the year 2027 pilgrimage will commence on Monday 6th July 2026 and ends on 25th September 2026.
The Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr. Imam Abdulrahman Ibrahim Idris stated this during a press conference held in his office in Bauchi the state capital.
He said visa processing for the 2027 Hajj will close on 28 January 2027, while the airlift of Bauchi State pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is scheduled to commence on 8th April, 2027.
Dr. Abdurrahman called on intending pilgrims, Hajj officials and Islamic scholars to urgently sensitize members of the public on the announced timetable.
He urged all intending pilgrims making payments through the local government areas, Ja’iz Bank or directly at the Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board to ensure they pay their Hajj fares within the stipulated period.
The Executive Secretary explained that the Board has fixed a deposit of N7 million for the 2027 Hajj, adding that the Board would also accept deposit of N4 million from intending pilgrims, pending the announcement of the final Hajj fare.
He assured all pilgrims who paid for the 2026 Hajj but were unable to travel to Saudi Arabia that they would, by the grace of Allah, be given priority to perform the 2027 Hajj.
Dr. Abdurrahman warned members of the public against giving money to individuals who are not staff of the Board with the promise of facilitating their pilgrimage, stressing that anyone found engaging in such illegal activities would face appropriate legal sanctions.
He also noted that the final Hajj fare for 2027 may differ from that of 2026, adding that intending pilgrims should await the official fare to be announced by the Saudi authorities.
He advised intending pilgrims whose International Passports are close to expiration, to renew them promptly to avoid delays or difficulties in obtaining their visas respectively.
