Babangida reaffirms KSSC Board’s commitment to improved Kano outings

The chairman of Kano State Sports Commission KSSC, Alhaji Muhammad Tukur Babangida has reaffirmed the board’s commitment to ensuring better performance of athletes at various national and international engagements.
Alhaji Babangida stated this during a formal handover ceremony held at the Commission’s headquarters in Kano.
The event was attended by the management staff and board members of the Kano State Sports Commission, who witnessed the seamless transition of leadership.
He described the recent performance of Kano Pillars Basketball and Kano Pillars Volleyball teams in the Nigerian elite classes as an indication of the present administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s commitment to the development of sports in the state and the country at large.

The chairman further explained that with the calibre of board members, coupled with prayers and government support, the sky will be their limit.
He charged the athletes, organizing secretaries and coaches to continue to do their best in order to sustain the state’s impressive outing within and outside the country.
Babangida who previously served in various capacities at the state and the federal levels, called on stakeholders, wealthy individuals and corporate organisations to partner with the Commission with the aim of complimenting Kano State government’s efforts towards promoting and developing various sports activities in the state.
Earlier, the outgoing Acting Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Murtala Musa thanked the management staff, athletes, coaches and secretaries for their support, urging them to extend the gesture with a view to achieving the desired objectives.
The handover ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter for the Commission as it continues its mandate of nurturing talents and positioning Kano State as a leading force in sports development.
