From the opening tip, DeSagana Diop’s men showed energy and intent, racing to a 49-26 halftime lead. Boissy, the 2025 BAL MVP, was unstoppable, pouring in 16 points in the first half before finishing with 40, including 4-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc.
Teammates Brancou Badio (18 points) and Ibou Badji (12 points) provided solid support, as Senegal showcased their depth and dominance on both ends of the floor.
By the third quarter, the Lions of Teranga had extended their advantage to 30 points (78-48), effectively sealing the bronze medal.
Cameroon Struggle After Semifinal Heartbreak
Cameroon, still reeling from their narrow 74-73 semifinal loss to Angola, looked flat and managed just 30% shooting from the field. They went 0-for-8 from three-point range, unable to match Senegal’s pace and efficiency.
Jordan Bayehe (18 points) and Jeremiah Hill (15 points) led the scoring for Cameroon, but the team failed to keep up with Senegal’s offensive rhythm.
