ABG Hails Zaria PDP For Affirming Murtala’s Reps Candidacy

Kaduna State PDP Governorship Aspirant, Hon. Usman S. Bawa (ABG) has commended Zaria stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for unanimously affirming Murtala Iliyasu as the sole candidate for Zaria Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He appreciated the Returning Officer of the PDP House of Representatives primary election in Zaria for ensuring the affirmation was successful.

ABG expressed confidence on party members across the 13 wards of the Zaria Federal Constituency who affirmed Mutala Iliyasu as the party’s sole candidate for the 2027 general elections will, no doubt double their votes in the general elections.

The election was observed by INEC Electoral Officer in Zaria, Security Agencies, the PDP Primary Election Committee, key stakeholders.

The affirmation, which was conducted peacefully, was attended by ward executives and returning officers in the 13 wards of the constituency.

The 13 Wards comprises of Anguwan Juma, Anguwan Fatika, Dambo, Kwarbai A, Kwarbai B, Kufena, Dutsen Abba, Gyallesu, Tudun Wada, Limancin Kona, Wuciciri and Kaura Ward.

In his acceptance speech, Murtala described the development as historic and a testament to the trust and support of the people.

According to him, “today’s affirmation shows that the people appreciate and value my contributions in the community, particularly the scholarship programme.”

He reiterated his commitment to effective legislation and to attract people-oriented projects that would have direct bearing on the lives of the people.
