BREAKING: Adeleke Wins Osun Governorship Election

Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party has emerged victorious in the Osun Governorship Election, securing 511,067 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the APC, who polled 444,815 votes.
The Returning Officer, Prof. Joshua Olalekan Ogunwole, declared Accord candidate, Ademola Adeleke, the winner of the Osun State governorship election with 511,067 votes, beating the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, who polled 444,815 and ADC’s Najeem Salaan, who polled 17.180 votes.
He won 19 LGs while APC Oyebamij Secure 11 LGs. The ADC candidate, Najeem Salaam, recorded 17,180 votes.
According to the final results announced by INEC, Adeleke won by a margin of 66,252 votes over Oyebamiji.
Registered voters: 2,339,544
Accredited voters: 1,010,684
Total valid votes: 985,079
Rejected votes: 20,721
Total votes cast: 1,005,800
Results from all 30 LGAs were announced by INEC, paving the way for Adeleke’s declaration as winner of the election.
Meanwhile, Osun residents reportedly chanted “Ole! Ole!” as APC governors, senators and other political heavyweights allegedly faced boos from the crowd while their convoy left the state around 2:30 am.
The reaction came amid claims that the APC’s political influence did not produce the expected outcome in the election.
