Rev Damina Applauds Gov Mohammed’s Inclusive Governance, Religious Harmony

The Bauchi State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has expressed appreciation to Governor Bala Mohammed for responding to the needs of the christian community and promoting religious peace and harmony across the state.

The Association, under the leadership of its chairman, Reverend Abraham Damina, expressed gratitude to Governor Bala Mohammed, on behalf of christian community in the state, for the Christmas goodwill extended to them across the state, saying “the gesture is a symbol of unity, compassion and shared belonging among the people of the state,” he noted.

The Bauchi CAN chairman, who spoke through the chapter’s secretary, Reverend Matthew Wakili, during a Christmas homage at the Government House on Saturday, was accompanied by other senior christian leaders.

They also praised the governor’s commitment to peace and security, noting that “Bauchi State remains peaceful, allowing christians to worship freely without fear, intimidation or discrimination.”

Bauchi CAN further lauded the administration for its support to christian infrastructure, including the provision of new christian cemeteries, church projects and efforts toward the completion and commissioning of key religious facilities across the state.

In his response, Governor Bala Mohammed re-iterated his commitment to fairness, justice, and equal treatment of all religious groups, stressing that government resources belong to all citizens without exclusion.

The governor called for sustained prayers and cooperation from religious leaders, emphasizing that peace, unity and mutual respect remain vital tools for development, stability and harmonious coexistence in Bauchi State.
