2027: Na’allah Reacts When Asked What Will Happen If INEC Declares Tinubu Winner Or Loser
Bala Ibn Na’allah, a former Senate Deputy Majority Leader and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has expressed concern over what could happen if the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declares President Bola Tinubu the winner or loser of the 2027 presidential election.
In an interview shared by DAILY INDEPENDENT on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, Na’allah was asked what worried him about the possibility of Tinubu either winning or losing the 2027 election and what could happen after INEC announces the result.
Na’allah said he was worried about some of the behaviours he had observed among political actors ahead of the 2027 campaign, warning that the growing attacks and political conduct could have consequences for the country.
He said some people had abandoned the interests of the country and resorted to attacking political leaders without considering the consequences of their actions. According to him, anyone seeking to lead the country should demonstrate good character and uphold moral values.
Na’allah added that the current political developments did not send a good signal and should be a concern to responsible Nigerians as the country moves closer to the 2027 election.
In Na’allah’s words: “I’m worried about some of the behaviours I’ve seen so far, preludes to the full engagement in the campaign for 2027. On one hand, the President was quoted to have said—I have not seen where he said so—but he was quoted to have said that everything is fair in politics I have seen people who have abandoned the country itself and begun to attack a leader without minding the consequence of that attack, the personal attack on the country as a whole.”
“I’m worried about some of the behaviours I’ve seen so far, preludes to the full engagement in the campaign for 2027. Let me be honest with you. On one hand, the President was quoted to have said—I have not seen where he said so—but he was quoted to have said that everything is fair in politics. And then, on the other side, I have seen people who have abandoned the country itself and begun to attack a leader without minding the consequence of that attack, the personal attack on the country as a whole.
