Yauri Emir Appointed Aleiro Varsity Chancellor

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has appointed Emir of Yauri, His Royal Highness, Dr. Muhammad Zayyanu Abdullahi CON as the Chancellor of Abdullahi Fodio University of Science And Technology (AFUSTA), Aleiro.

The appointment was contained in a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Yakubu Bala Tafida and made available to journalists by the Secretary of Kebbi State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Laminu Shehu Kuwa.

While appreciating the appointment, the Emir of Gwandu and Chairman, Kebbi State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Muhammed Iliyasu Bashar described the appointment of Dr. Muhammad Zayyanu Abdullahi as well deserved.

The monarch, however, said the appointment will reflect Governor Nasir Idris’s unwavering respect for traditional institutions in the state.

The Gwandu Emir prayed for Allah’s guidance for the new Chancellor and applauded the commitment of Governor Idris in recognizing traditional rulers across the state.
