Ningi LG Boss Hails Gov Mohammed For Hospital Renovation

The Chairman of Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Honourable Nasiru Zakarai Dankasuwa, has commended Governor Bala Mohammed for his commitment and determination to embark on total renovation of the General Hospital, Ningi.

Nasiru Zakarai gave the commendation when he received the Chairman of the Bauchi State Health Management Board, Dr. Sambo Alkali, who paid an official visit to the Local Government as part of efforts to assess the state of healthcare facilities in the area.

The Council chairman acknowledged the proactive steps taken by the state government since inception, particularly when Governor Bala Mohammed’s declaration of a state of emergency in the health and education sectors, which he noted has continued to yield positive results across the state.

While expressing appreciation for the Governor’s support, Honourable Dankasuwa further appealed for the renovation of General Hospital Burra and the deployment of additional health personnel to strengthen service delivery at the General Hospital, Ningi.

In his remarks, Dr. Sambo Alkali stated that the visit was carried out on the directive of His Excellency, Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, to inspect the condition and operational efficiency of the General Hospital, with a view to commencing general renovation of the facility.

Dr. Sambo commended the Ningi Local Government Chairman for his support towards healthcare development programmes, particularly the recent engagement of retired nurses to augment manpower at the General Hospital. He also praised Honourable Nasiru Dankasuwa for restoring discipline, efficiency, and dedication within the Local Government workforce.

The Board Chairman further commended the staff of the General Hospital for their resilience and commitment in managing the facility despite manpower challenges.

He however, cautioned that the state government would not tolerate lateness or negligence of duty, urging staff to remain punctual and committed to their responsibilities.

As part of the visit, Dr. Sambo Alkali toured the wards, visited patients on admission, sympathized with them over their conditions, and listened to their concerns with a view to improving healthcare service delivery.
