Mowe Golf Town hosts Daycation on Sustainable African Living

A new eco-luxury community, Mowe Golf Town, will officially open its Experience Centre on Saturday, August 23, 2025, with an open house event tagged Mowe Golf Town Daycation.
The Centre, located opposite Christopher University in Mowe, Ogun State, is a joint project by Legal City Homes & Properties and Gidi Real Estate Investment Limited. It is designed around a nine-hole waterfront golf course and aims to showcase a model for modern sustainable African living.
Organisers said the Daycation would feature the unveiling of The Green Residences, a collection of eco-friendly smart homes, and the exclusive introduction of the Creek View Land Offering, which expands investment options within the estate.
The event will also host leisure activities such as scooter rides, sip-and-paint sessions and curated relaxation zones for guests. One of the highlights will be a private African art exhibition valued at over ₦500 million.
Curated by Engr. Dayo Adetunmbi, a Nigerian art collector and CEO of Heavy Lifting Limited, the showcase will feature works from celebrated artists including Bruce Onobrakpeya, David H. Dale, Abiodun Olaku, Kolade Oshinawo and several others.
According to the organisers, the exhibition reflects a blend of real estate and culture while paying tribute to African heritage and creativity.
The promoters of the project, Barr. Labake Adetumbi, Chief Executive Officer of Legal City Homes & Properties; Barr. Adaku Chibuike, Partner at Legal City Homes; Mrs. Abimbola Akinkugbe, Managing Director of Moulding Technologies Limited; Mr. Ayorinde Ejioye, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Gidi Real Estate; and Mr. Tobi Akerele, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Gidi Real Estate, said the initiative is aimed at merging sustainability with lifestyle innovation.
They noted that the Daycation aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those on sustainable cities, clean energy, climate action and responsible consumption.
Organisers stated that Mowe Golf Town is positioned to become a model for eco-friendly living in Nigeria.
The development is located about 45 minutes from Lagos and is expected to serve as both a residential community and a leisure destination for city dwellers seeking comfort, recreation and long-term value.
