Man Utd Fans Demand Amorim’s Sack After Mainoo Is Left as ‘Fourth Choice’ Midfielder

Manchester United fans are voicing their frustration with manager Ruben Amorim after youngster Kobbie Mainoo was once again overlooked in the Red Devils’ 1-1 draw against Fulham on Sunday.

United, who lost their opening game of the season to Arsenal, had previously won eight consecutive matches at Craven Cottage but failed to extend that run. Amorim’s men took the lead in the second half after Rodrigo Muniz put the ball into his own net, but substitute Emile Smith Rowe equalized for Fulham to deny them victory.

The major talking point for fans, however, was Amorim’s decision to bench Mainoo. Instead of giving the England international a chance, Amorim opted to replace Casemiro with Manuel Ugarte in midfield, leaving supporters furious that their young star was once again sidelined.

Some fans took to social media to vent their anger, accusing Amorim of neglecting one of United’s brightest talents.

One wrote: “Kobbie Mainoo is being treated like he’s United’s fourth best midfielder, it’s shocking.”

Another fan was even harsher, saying: “Just sack Amorim, he’s had a year to prove himself and delivered nothing. No progress, no improvement, no clear plan.”

Others questioned Amorim’s tactics, with one comment reading: “Bruno, another 90 minutes without being subbed. Him being undroppable is the reason Amorim will get sacked.”

Despite heavy summer spending that saw United invest £200 million in new attackers, the team has yet to score from open play this season, leaving pressure mounting on Amorim’s future at Old Trafford.
