Kebbi Water Scarcity: KBSG Sets Up C’ttee To Restore Supply

Kebbi State Government has constituted a committee to restore supply in the affected areas of Birnin Kebbi metropolis that are hit by shortage of water following damaged pipes.

Secretary to the state government, Yakubu Bala Tafida announced this during a press briefing in Birnin Kebbi on Thursday.

According to him, the committee set up was mandated to ensure the repair works at the Birnin Kebbi Water Works and all other places where the pipes were damaged, for immediate restoration of water supply.

The SSG added that the committee has been assigned to remain at the Water Works site until all the damaged pipes are repaired.

He assured residents that the state government under Governor Nasir Idris is doing everything possible to provide constant water supply in all parts of the state.

“I am sure the residents will soon resume their constant water supply as soon as this repairs are done,” Tafida said.
