Kebbi Govt Plans To Revitalise 6 Hospitals In 4 Emirates Councils

Kebbi State government has mapped out plans to revitalise six hospitals across the four Emirates Councils of the state. As part of the plans, it has relocated the old Fati Lami Maternity Unit at Sir Yahaya Memorial Hospital to a more convenient environment within Birnin Kebbi.

Permanent Secretary and Chief Medical Director of Sir Yahaya Memorial Hospital, Dr. Shehu Abubakar Koko disclosed the development to journalists during a press briefing held at the Hospital in Birnin Kebbi.

He added that Governor Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu has already mapped out plans to revitalise six general hospitals across the four emirate councils in the state, including Sir Yahaya Memorial Hospital as part of his administration’s comprehensive reforms in the health sector.

Dr. Koko noted that Kaura-led administration remained committed to strengthening secondary and tertiary healthcare services in order to meet the needs of the people and ensure improved service delivery across the state.
