Leaders of sectional farmers and youth in Kebbi State have endorsed Governor Nasir Idris for second term. The endorsement was made when the leaders paid a solidarity visit to the Governor at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi.

While presenting the group leaders to the Governor, Commissioner of Agriculture, Shehu Muazu, described the farmers and youth as critical stakeholders in socio-economic development of the state.

He said: “Your Excellency I’m presenting you the two very important groups that are central to the socio-economic growth of Kebbi State – farmers and youth. These leaders are
drawn from the four emirates, chiefdom, 126 districts as well as over 1,350 villages. They have come together to appreciate your effort and to reaffirm their loyalty and support towards your re-election bid.”

Speaking on behalf of the farmers, Muhammed Hayatu Birnin Kebbi commended Governor Idris for his wide-ranging developmental projects, particularly in agriculture, infrastructure and in urban and rural communities.

He reaffirmed the farmers’ unflinching
support for the Governor’s giant strides in all aspects of human lives.

In his response, Governor Nasir Idris thanked them for the visit and acknowledged their significance to the growth and stability of the state.

The Governor also assured farmers of continued free distribution of fertilizer throughout his tenure, urging them to ensure obtaining their Voters Cards from their nearest PVC Centres.
