Kano Golfers Excited By Hole 3 Renovation, Commissioning

A Resident professional golfer, Lawan Malam has applauded the Commandant of 3 Motorists Brigade, Bukavu Barracks, Brigadier-General AM Tukur for supporting the renovation and reopening of the historic Hole No. 3 Tee Box at the Kano Club Golf Section.
While conducting the Comnandant round the facilities, Lawan Malam described the renovation and reopening of the hole as capable of going a long way in developing golfers’ skills and talents.
Lawan Malam who happens to be the first professional golfer from northern Nigeria, who participated in British Open alongside Tiger Woods among others from 2002 to 2005, said the Kano Golf Section which was established in 1908, needed such renovations in order to develop the game.
While commending those who have contributed and supported the renovation in one way or the other, he called on multi-corporate organizations and wealthy individuals towards the overall development of the game in the state and the country at large.

The professional golfer said Kano was blessed with hidden talented golfers who need moral and financial backing to excel at both national and international engagements.
The project was commissioned by Brig-Gen. AM Tukur who is the Brigade Commandant, Kano
Dignitaries who attended the event include Group Captain Suleiman, Air Force Commander, Kano, Rear Admiral Emmanuel, Navy Commander, Kano, Muhammad Bakori, Commissioner of Police, Kano, Major-General SM Ahmed, Major-General ASM Ease, Major-General UA Yusif while the tee-off was performed by Major-General GU Chibuisi.
