Governor Idris Assents To N642.9bn 2026 Budget

Governor Nasir Idris has Tuesday, in Birnin Kebbi, assented to the N642.9bn 2026 Appropriation. The Governor signed the Appropriation as presented to him on by the Speaker, Kebbi State House of Assembly, Hon. Mohammed Usman Zuru at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi.

Hon. Zuru told the Governor that, the budget which was passed by the House of Assembly after presentation of report by its Joint Committee on Finance and Appropriation, and that of Budget Monitoring, Economic Planning and Due Process of the Assembly, chaired by Hon. Adamu Muhammad Birnin Yauri.

He added that the recurrent revenue stands at N163,573,314,116.82, representing 25% of the proposed budget, while the capital revenue stands at N479,357,504,041.17, representing 75% of the proposed budget.

The Governor, while thanking the Assembly members for their smooth and quickest scrutiny of the appropriation bill and passage, enhanced his assented to it.
