Gara Gombe Donates Emir’s Cup For Contest, Establishes Viewing Centre

A sports entrepreneur, Hon. Ahmed Shuaibu Gara Gombe, has donated a giant football trophy in honour of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Abubakar Shehu-Abubakar CFR.

According to a statement, the donor who is also, at various times, the former chairman of Gombe State Football Association and Athletics Association, respectively, led a delegation on a courtesy visit to Emir’s palace, aimed at appreciating the Royal Father’s leadership and to formally present gift items to benchmark the occasion.

Highlights of the visit was the presentation of the Gombe Emir’s Football Cup, designed for competition among the Emirates and its Chiefdom, with a view to promoting football, unity, culture, youth development and oneness among traditional institutions.

Gara Gombe who is also the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Green White Green Sports Center Limited, also sponsored the establishment of a viewing center around the Emir’s Palace where football fans watch all matches.

Gara Gombe has been in sports management and sponsorship in Gombe State, a passion he has unabashedly possessed for years.
