Fitness Test: Referees, Assessors Hail Kano Governor

Chairmen of the 19 northern state councils of Nigerian Football Referees and the FCT have applauded Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf for providing the needed facilities and conducive environment for the just concluded Fitness Test and Seminars for them in Kano.
The annual evaluation exercise was sponsored by the state government ahead of this year’s Nigerian National League (NNL), Nationwide League One (NLO) and the Nigerian Women’s League.
The commendation was made by the representative of the participants, Alhaji Ali Medalla, shortly after the closing ceremony held at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata.
He said the commendation became necessary in view of the huge success recorded during the 10-day activities which was graciously attended by the chairman of the Referees Appointment committee of the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, Mrs Faith Irabo among actors in the football community.

The participants who undertook the 2025 Fitness Test in Kano, have expressed their deep appreciation for the exceptional support they received throughout the exercise.
”Their participation was made smoother and more comfortable due to the timely arrangements put in place by the state government through the state Acting Executive Chairman of the state Sports Commission, Ibrahim Umar Fagge (rtd),” he explained.
”We want to specially extend our gratitude to FIFA Ibrahim Umar Fagge who doubles as the Second Vice President of the Nigerian Football Referees Association (NRFA), for ensuring that all essential needs were fully met. His efforts in providing comfortable accommodation and quality meals greatly enhanced the welfare of all referees present,” he said.
The representative also added that the FIFA Ibrahim Umar Fagge (rtd) demonstrated outstanding leadership, commitment and dedication to the refereeing community.
His remarkable contributions during the fitness tests have been highly commendable and the referees sincerely appreciate his continuous support and services.
