Ex-Super Eagles Midfield Maestro, Henry Nwosu (MON), passes on

Few days after the death of former national football coach, Modakeke High Chief Adegboye Onigbinde, Nigeria’s football family has been thrown into nother mourning again following the death of former Super Eagles midfielder, Henry Nwosu, one of the super brats of the Nigeria’s historic 1980 Africa Cup of Nations champions. He was 62.
His playing mate, Segun Odegbami who broke the news in a statement in Lagos this morning, noted that “After five days in hospital battling for his life, the one I call ‘Youngest Millionaire’ passed on at 4:00 am this morning at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos where he had been in Intensive Care since Wednesday.
“It is with deep pain in my heart that I have to be the conveyor of the news of the death of Henry Nwosu MON.
“May he rest peacefully with our Creator in Heaven,” Segun Odegbami prayed in the statement.
