Chief Agu-Ejidike Commiserates With Chukwueze Over Mother Demise

Nigeria’s Pillar of Sports, Chief Donatus Agu-Ejidike, has expressed deep sadness over the passing of Mrs Sarah Chukwueze, mother of Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze.

The former President of the Karate Federation of Nigeria (KFN) described the loss as particularly painful, coming barely 48 hours after the Nigerian football fraternity was thrown into mourning by the death of Mr. Sunday Ndidi, father of Super Eagles captain, Wilfred Ndidi. He noted that the succession of bereavements within such a short period has left the nation’s sporting community grief-stricken.

Chief Agu-Ejidike extended his heartfelt condolences to Samuel Chukwueze and the entire Chukwueze family, describing the late Mrs Sarah Chukwueze as a matriarch whose influence and sacrifices would remain indelible in the lives of her children.

He prayed for the repose of her soul and prayed God Almighty to grant the family, particularly Samuel Chukwueze, the strength and comfort needed to bear the irreparable loss.

The Nigeria’s Pillar of Sports also called on God to spare the Nigerian sporting fraternity from further tragedies, expressing hope that the nation would not again witness deaths in such quick succession as experienced in the last 48 hours.

Chief Agu-Ejidike urged the football community to stand in solidarity with the bereaved family, stressing that beyond their achievements on the pitch, Nigerian athletes remain sons and daughters bound by family ties and shared humanity.
