Body Urges Kano Governor To Establish Office On Widows And Orphans

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has been urged to establish an office for the Special Adviser on Widows and Orphans, aimed at ensuring proper records and taking care of their welfare.
The call was made by the Chairman of Maidile Widows and Orphans Welfare Association in Kumbotso Local Government area of Kano State, Mallam Usman Dalhatu during the distribution of foodstuffs and Sallah clothing materials to orphans and widows, held in the state capital.
Dalhatu said that establishing the office of the Special Adviser will go a long way in improving and coordinating the welfare of orphans and widows in the state.

He described Yusuf as a workaholic Governor who always put Kano first before anything, calling on the people in the state to continue to support him in order to achieve the desired objectives.
The chairman however, commended all those who contributing in one way or the other towards the success of the programme in the area.
Over 150 widows and orphans benefitted from the Sallah clothing materials for children and foodstuffs for the widows.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke at the occasion thanked the association members and donors, praying for God to reward them abundantly.
