Bauchi Gov Receives Minister Of State For Regional Dev, NEDC

The Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed, has received, in audience, the Minister of State for Regional Development, Alhaji Uba Maigari Ahmadu, alongside the Board and Management of the North-East Development Commission (NEDC), during a courtesy visit to the Government House, Bauchi.

During the visit, the Minister explained that the delegation was in Bauchi to carry out an on-the-spot assessment of ongoing projects and to commission completed interventions executed by the NEDC across various parts of the state.

Maigari disclosed that the team would be in the state for some few days to enable them thoroughly inspect projects spanning critical sectors such as health, infrastructure, commerce, health and education.

According to him, these interventions are deliberately structured to address pressing developmental challenges and improve the overall living conditions of the people of Bauchi State, in line with the mandate of the Commission to drive sustainable development in the North-East region.

He Commended Government and people of the state for the warm reception and hospitality accorded to them since arriving Bauçhi.

In his response, Governor Bala Mohammed, welcomed the delegation and described the visit as significant and symbolic, particularly as it comes at a historic moment when Bauchi State is celebrating its 50th anniversary since creation. He expressed profound appreciation to the minister for personally leading the delegation, noting that the gesture reflects the Federal Government’s strong commitment to the growth and development of Bauchi State.

The Governor further reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to effective and result-oriented collaboration with federal ministries, departments and agencies, especially the NEDC, emphasizing that such partnerships are vital to ensuring the successful delivery of people-oriented projects that have lasting impact.

Governor Bala Mohammed explained that as Bauchi marks its golden jubilee, his administration remains focused on leveraging strategic collaborations to deepen development, enhance service delivery and secure a better future for the people of the state.

While expressing appreciation for all the good works NEDC completed and the ongoing projects in Bauchi, Governor Mohammed urged the minister and his entourage to consider completing the road project from Dindima to Alkaleri and other road projects that connect Bauchi and Gombe and North East as a whole.
